At the rate it's going vert bow technology will eventually eclipse the need to draw and hold , effectively making them into proxy crossbows . The manufacturers will make them so attractive that the vert bow crowd will demand their use . What will they say against crossbows then ? Don't believe me ? Look at the new "slingshot" bows , all they lack is a stock(unless you count their pistol grip) and a trigger mounted on them . It wouldn't take much to marry a triggered release to a stock , even a pistol grip . If there isn't a proxy crossbow on the vert market within 5 years I'd be very surprised .
