TenPoint Crossbows Launches Technology-Driven Website
TenPoint Crossbow Technologies has launched a new website for 2006 using some of the latest web design technology available. For those familiar with such technology, the new site has been developed in CSS web standard based design. It contains numerous new database driven elements, developed in asp scripting. It has been optimized for organic search, and its DHTML menus promote easy navigation throughout the site.
For those unfamiliar with the technology, the website has a fresh look, is very easy to navigate, and contains many new features TenPoint believes will better educate the consumer and keep them coming back for more.
The improved Dealer Locator asks the consumer to supply a zip code, which then finds all dealers located within a 100-mile radius and provides automatic map-links with driving instructions. For those who do not have a dealer nearby, TenPoint offers a new, secure online shopping cart option.
In its enhanced Technology Section, they make it easier than ever to compare crossbows and features by providing a number of detailed charts, grids, guides and PDF’s.
And, for the TenPoint user, there is a new Trophy Room where they can upload their trophy photos, a page where they can choose from numerous desktop backgrounds to download to their own computers, and a high-tech integrated message board where they can ask questions and get answers from other hunters and the TenPoint staff.
Finally, in the new Contact Us section, the customer can arrange for crossbow service, register warranty information, and simply direct e-mails to TenPoint.
“Our new site is the best in the industry,” says Rick Bednar, TenPoint’s Chief Operating Officer. “Because it contains so much information and allows the consumer to do so much on their own, it will also reduce our telephone load and, making us more accessible to customers during our busiest season.”
