Geez!! Looked for over an hour for formula to calculate k.e. Finally found it, only to get "error" on my calculator. Can some math whiz tell me the k.e. for: 357 gr. at 350 fps. and 408 gr. at 330 fps.?? Thank you VERY much.

357 grains at 350 fps = 97 foot pounds fo KE 408 grains at 330 fps = 98 foot pounds of KE Since "speed" is used twice in the formula I believe that it is more important in gaining KE. However, weight will get you more momentum. see home.att.net/~sajackson/ke.htmlTo plug in weights, speeds etc to get all kinds of good information.. |
