Thought I would finally join this forum after reading it from time to time for several years. I've enjoyed reading the stories and the daily "live from the stand" updates. Keeps me connected to the sport I've grown to love. Hopefully I will be able to contribute to others as well. I live in Allen County and started bow hunting about 10 years ago initially on some small (5-20 acres) private properties. I was able to enjoy that for 3-4 years until they all sold and then I was forced to switch to public land. At first I was really dreading it, but I have learned to enjoy the challenge. I camped at JE Roush Thursday and Friday last week just so I could hunt and be outside. Finally saw three deer on my last evening, but not before they saw me first. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to try again. Being able to have plenty of options of places to hunt is one thing I enjoy about public land. And I don't have to worry about loosing access to it. Well all that to say hello and that I look forward to being a part of this community.

Welcome to the forum. Glad you like it. As you know some great post and conversations. Good luck. I used to live just north of Fort Wayne and hunting the open fields and small patches of woods was a a big change for me. Made me a better hunter.
