When are the big females usually caught pre-spawn?

Pooh Bear Charters, Eye Catcher Charters, and of course Eagle Eye Charters.
You better move fast because these boats are always booked and it's hard to find an opening. Some of the Charters have great places to stay,

I must add that there are a lot of charters in that area way to many to list but I am very familiar with these boats and for them it's all about comfort, fun and limits.
Port Clinton and Marblehead areas is probably the best area on Lake Erie to fish because of the islands and it's location to the spawning grounds.

Starting this year the daily bag limit is 6 walleye that must be 15"or larger,I expect this years fish to average 20"-22".
Don't hold me to this because it might have changed but you can buy a one day license for $11.00. They also have what is called a charter license which is also $11.00 you sign the license when you board your charter to validate it for that day and that day only. The nice thing about this license is if for some reason your charter is cancelled for the day you had it reserved then that license is still good for the rest of the year.
I have said it before the best route to go is fish with a good charter service, have a fish cleaning service clean your catch and find a good restaurant to prepare some of your catch for a celebratory dinner.
NOTE: SCHALL53 AND I have an extra date on the books for June 5th if enough guys are interested we would need to know quickly or I have got to let that date go. The trip is 2 nights in private first class accommodations, and a day aboard the Eagle Eye $227.00 per man total. Fish cleaning is extra based upon the weight of the catch.
You interested Greg?

Man, if we weren’t already busy that weekend with things for both my son and daughter I’d probably be all over that invite. Been wanting to take a trip like that for a long time.

Last time I went was probably 7-8 years ago, don't remember which Charter it was, but we went during the spawn, so the limit per man was fewer fish than post spawn. I caught the big fish of the two days of fishing at six pounds. We limited out both times out, it was a great time.
