I've lost 21 pounds since February 1st. 4 more to go to reach goal. Getting close to season hunting weight. Looking forward to this year. The past two I've been way to busy. All my fault though. I'm down 35, and the New Years Resolution was to lose 1#/week for the year. I want to get down to the weight that I was when I got out of College. Or close to it.

I'm getting down to the number my doctor recommended. Not college weight. He wanted me to be about 15 pounds more than college weight. My Fort Wayne Flames MISL weight was 165-170 so my doctor goal is 185. I was 188.2 this morning. Doctor said it's good to have a little extra when you get older. I might go down to low 180's, but doctor said not to go below 180.

Checked cams today.. Had a borderline 10 point and a definite shooter 9 point come through back on 7/11. Tons of does and fawns.

Got a good deal on 3 used ladder stands, so I ran down to Orange County in the Ranger to pick them up. Two doubles and a single. Got a few ideas of where to place them, hopefully will get time to do that sometime this weekend.

Just receive my 10 lbs of Daikon Radish seeds. Instructions say plant 6 weeks before 1st frost. My area is early to mid October so around the 10th to 17th. Plan to plant mid to late August; just before a rain. Mostly planting for cover and to add some soil. Next year will be cover clover and repeat one more time over a 4 year period. If deer like it all the better. By the way, baiting is legal in Ohio, but I prefer not to. With all the mask and fruit barrier trees it's not needed. Plus my place is between three deer beds. Could not be any luckier. Had no idea 29 years ago. Good luck with all the food plots and hunting. Prep day August 1st is almost here. Time sure flies by.

I'm tilling all my fall plots starting this weekend. I try to have my turnip, radish and beet mix in ground by late July. Next good chance of rain I am seeding. Rain in August has been pretty scarce last few year's So I have been planting little earlier with success just because I get couple more weeks to seed b4 a rain.

Great information and your are right on. August has been a mini drought dust bowl like. Can't believe it mid July already. Good luck

This is what I've seen here in the past 5-6 years too, wait until August, and the rains dry up and the seeds don't germinate and get eaten by birds. Turkeys cleaned out the food plot last year before things started to germinate. I will be overseeding and working on the food plots the next week or 2.

I finally got out this afternoon. I re-hung 2 stands that I had to take down when the fence rows came out. I made a horizontal rub and put all my trail cams out too.

I can't take the heat very well so summer is tough for me. This is the absolute earliest I can swing. Hoping for a good growing season!!!

Made my first card pull on the camera behind my house. Never really expect too much back there. Had probably 6 different bucks with this being the best one. Also caught the tail end of a bobcat. Second one I’ve got pics of since we’ve lived here since 2017.
