Just walked down to check my tiny clover plot I planted in our woods. Actually didn’t expect the thing to grow at all, but after the couple rains we received this week the clover is actually starting to pop up already. Got me a little excited. Now gonna pop up a blind and hope to have a little spot the kids can get a shot in.

I've been working at trying to get several large plots of clover alfalfa mix going. It's coming up great but full of grasses and some other unwanted weeds. Sprayed with Imox about a month ago, then mowed and it helped a bunch but still needs work so I sprayed it again a couple days ago. Hopefully it will be looking real nice by fall.
Hard to beat clover alfalfa for a food plot because it provides desirable feed from spring green up till late October November killing frosts. They'll even paw through the snow to get to it when things get tough in late winter. Unlike something like brassicas that are only good for a couple months.

My radishes are doing well in both plots , but 1 turnip plot got burned out . I am going to throw down some oats & winter wheat in that area .

Looks like the drought will be over today. Looks like everyone is going to get a fair amount. Should help everyone plot in the next week or so. Just in time.
