My 9 year old grandson isn’t very big and even with his cutdown Contender he really can’t shoulder correctly so I have been unwilling to have him shoot it with anything heavier than a .22lr. Set the stock length to minimum on my Terrain and it looks like with a tripod he can handle it. 30 yards would be his max for now as he opens up a bit more than I care for past that. We’ll see how he does with it over the summer but come fall I’m ready to put him in a blind with it and let him take a shot at deer hunting.

Think I’ll put my blind back where I killed that doe last year. We had pretty good activity there. No big bucks were seen there but for his first I don’t think he’ll care!
