make the vaccine readily available when found, remove the stigma of feeding wild deer. Don't know what percentage would need vaccinated for herd immunity would be good place to start. Bringing sharpdhooters in wont put a dent in infected deer just further reduce numbers on top of ones that will die anyway

So I have not fully investigated to my satisfaction yet, but things I have come across so far indicate that no one has been able to replicate his results.
It would be great if it were a bacteria and there were potential to develop antibiotics and/or vaccines. However, I'm not hanging a hat on this as of now.
