I still have a rotary on my garage wall.. I'm not even sure it works? It does ring..but I never answer it.. I've got an antique 1930s Candlestick Telephone that got its name from its candle-shaped body. The way it works is you would unhook the cup feature from the stick and listen and speak through the microphone. It sits on my desk … doesn't work. Purely decorative...

Yeah....remember the party phone lines where you had a certain ring that was yours but eveyone's ring also rang on your phone. Ha

Ha And nosy people would listen in.. some people would hang on the line for a loooonnnggg time and we would have to ask them to please hang up so we could use the phone.. Had a CB once in the house and we would get on there and holler BREAK when we wanted to talk..
