Just booked a guided fly fishing trip in Rocky Mountain National Park--first ever guided trip of any kind so really looking forward to the experience. Will also be headed to Michigan for my annual grouse/woodcock trip and have been kicking around the idea of getting somewhere warm to fish in the winter! I envy you for having the youth and foresight to choose some excellent adventures such as chasing Grouse in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the fall.

Looks like we are going to Florida over Christmas to visit my wife's Snowbird Grandma. I've already found a guy to try and book a hog hunt for me and the kids. Really looking forward to it.

Will you be on a float trip with overnight camping Nope, just a day trip for this first one. Walk/Wade trip. Since I am a new fly fisherman, figured I better minimize the moving parts if I want to maximize hook-ups. That said, I have already talked to the guide and made it pretty clear that I am most looking forward to the learning experience: learning how to read a trout stream, identify good water, what water temp means for fish behavior, how to handle, how to cast effectively, etc. Other than that, I am just excited to see the mountains out west. Other than fishing, I will be climbing as well: hoping to run up Mount Royal for my first multi-pitch climb--1500 feet of fun over eight total pitches!
