Why do you think they have aluminum bolts for Woody?

Wow, what a 405 fps crossbow under $500. Just two years released. Wow again.

Why do you think they have aluminum bolts for Woody? Hmmmm.. Dunno… I'd sure replace them with carbons.. I've been told that many carbon arrows will not hold up to speeds above about 350fps. They can actually explode when shot. I've also just learned that fixed broadheads may not do well with speeds over 350fps. Too fast to stabilize. Need to use mechanical broadheads instead.

I bought a Bear Saga 405 at Academy Sports for $317 and some change. 210 lb pull and it shoots 405 ft/sec. Weighs 7.5 lbs with a uncock width of 18" and 14" when cocked. It came ready to go in the box with rope, scope, quiver, sling and 3 bolts. Sighted it in for 20 yrds and it has 4 cross hairs so after sighting it in at 20, I'm able to get 60 yrds comfortably. Now, that's shooting at a target without any obstruction in between, no way am I going to try a shot on a deer at that distance even though where I hunt I'm able to because of the configuration of the woods I hunt. Not very thick at all inside and not a lot of canapy over head.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I always thought carbon arrows were more durable and fly better in the air than aluminum. Yeah sure, back years ago, aluminum was I think the only arrows you could get, but now I look at Walmart and sporting goods outlets and carbon is the only thing I see.

Junk carbon arrows are no good, sure, but they are shooting 450fps now with carbon. Just got to have the good stuff. If interested, go to crossbownation.com and read a little bit. It's a real eye opener!
