I picked up the meat and shoulder mount of my buck from Archers today. After $163. I got my shoulder mount ($25 for the cut). I got 6 packages round steak, 3 packages of tenderloin (back straps), 1 package of catfish tenderloin (the loins inside cavity along backbone I believe) 8-10 packages of ground venison (no fat or suet added.) 12 packages of summer sausage, 4 hot cheese 3.49 lb, 8 regular 2.99 lb.
Overall I am happy. Last year was a 24 hour day from wake up to hunting and harvesting 2 deer dragging them out to wrapping the meat and placing it in the freezer. One day I will have my own house and shop where I can do my own deer. As my idea of hunting is to save money and put food on the table and or just enjoy time in nature.
With bad weather, I stayed out of the woods and am enjoying some delicious hot cheese summer sausage!
