Pretty sure It was one of those I ate in Vietnam when I was a "forward observer" with a South Vietnamese APC crew near the northern coast by the DMZ. They shot it with a tunnel shotgun, picked the feathers, gutted and then chopped the entire bird with a machete into small pieces of meat and bone, then into the pot with rice. It was delicious! Everything tastes better cooked outdoors, with an M-16 across your lap!
