you and me both! Tonight should be good as well just before the front, if it's not storming which sounds likely.

I wonder what will happen to the front with this hurricane. The hurricane is going to push winds from the south east the next day or two. I wonder if it's going to push the front back north and west

I went out and set up a ground blind on a powerline during my lunch-break. Also located a few trees suitable for a climber on the opposite side, down a ways, in case of different wind conditions.
I may get out behind the house tonight if the weather's decent, but definitely planning on Thursday-Sunday evenings at least.

I wonder if it's going to push the front back north and west Channel 13 Weather said on the newscast last evening that we wouldn`t see any effect from Hurricane Michael. You know how that goes though, they run the computer models and they do the best they can, but the good Lord is in control, not their computer models.

I'll be out close to home Friday over some acorns on a logging road next to a creek. Not worth trying to get in or out of my ground in Parke because it has a covered bridge right next to it. Lose that weekend there every year!

The weather turned nice, so I slipped back to my spot behind the house for the last hour of daylight. So far had a doe and 3 fawns come through.. triplets maybe?
I'm only after a buck for now though.

Same deal. No or very little rain today. Couldn't tell if it rained. Saw one fawn that's it. Just checked radar and one little shower. What happened to the 100% heavy rain forecast this morning? I was hoping for some rain. It's been a couple weeks. It seems forecasters are 80% wrong these days. Before models forecasting was pretty good. I know the NW got some rain.

I had 1 more doe come through before dark. We have parent/teacher conferences tomorrow afternoon, but I should be able to be in a tree by 5:30.

It was pouring rain and the deer were out in the food plot before dark. That one buck that was a spike last year is still a spike this year, only with spikes 2x as tall as his ears.

Another 1.4". Now saying up to 45mph winds overnight, and I was hoping to get some shooting in Thursday morning.

It's windy here in the NW but I took the day off work to hunt so that's what I'll do.

Slipped in early over my acorn flat. Usually save this stand for closer to the rut but couldn't resist with this major front that pushed through. Little windy but not bad. Adds a little chill to the air. I like it. Plan to hunt most the day.
We'll see what happens...good luck to everyone out today.
