I’ve hit two and had two hit me. Two were reported to insurance only and the other two there were no reports.

Do these 1/2 mile buffers exist on all highways on the borders of reduction zones?

Do these 1/2 mile buffers exist on all highways on the borders of reduction zones? No. Just the ones outlined by the DNR. The only reduction zone close the the zone around 46 in brown county is the cordey sweetwater area and it’s a ways away from 46.

I've never technically hit a deer. I've had one run into the side of my car after I came to a complete stop (to avoid hitting another deer) and I ran over one's legs when it slid and fell down trying to avoid running into my car (no damage to my car and deer got up and ran away). Guess I'm lucky; but I do watch for them.

Are these buffer zones along highways, applicable to all the highways that are boundaries? I hunt a property in Morgan county that is on the right side of 37 but didn’t know if it applied to 37? Anyone know fore sure?

Anyone know fore sure? If you look at the map, it starts going north right before you get into Martinsville. If it's any south of that then I'd say no.

The property I hunt is on the wrong side of the boundary. But is that .5 mile buffer make it reduction zone?

If you zoom in on the interactive map it will give you the exact parcels that are included. The "half mile" is basically the redneck way of explaining it. Some parcels are not included but are completely surrounded by ones that are.
Remember, legal PARCELS not always entire properties.
