Finally saw birds. 2 Tom's locked on to this hen like they were connected with string. Strutting like crazy with the hen just walking on like no big deal

I don't think I've ever been this cold turkey hunting.

I remember one year my boots had ice on them from the walk in. But what a temp change from yesterday.

We had a young hen stroll right by the blind. The first wild turkey my grandson had ever seen, so that was cool. All we need. now is for her boyfriend to show up..

I don't think I've ever been this cold turkey hunting. Wait till tomorrow morning! I got out of the blind about 10 and moved it some. Have to be in Greenwood this afternoon so I'll try it again tomorrow

Hopefully tomorrow morning the tide turns. Ended up working a bird from this morning in from 3 different places. I keep moving on him and relocating, but no shot. Twice with in 75 to 80 yards and couldn't seal the deal.

Grandson rechecked his flight out and it’s not until Monday. We have one more shot at the turkey birds!
Going to sleep in and go to church in the morning and try an afternoon sit.

Well I wound up seeing 2 hens, 2 deer, and a mallard duck.
No hunting for me tomorrow, I might be sick a day or two this week though if the weather looks good.

Couple of hens and one in particular are really going off this morning. They are out of sight at the moment. Hopefully they'll work their way over here as the morning goes on
They're over on the neighbor's up on a hillside. Tom's are still talking.

Had 3 Tom's at ~150 yards a bit ago. I'd call and they would stop and then take aagain. Did it twice, they seemed like they were on a mission but I didn't see any hens. Try it again next weekend

Watched a hen chase a crow from one end of a field to the other. Everytime he'd get close she'd run him off. Looked like she was having fun until the gobblers stepped into the field and turned the tides on her. Took him about ten minutes but he finally ran her down and bred her. Kicked her off her nest later.

Just settled in the blind on the food plot for my grandson’s final Indiana spring turkey season. Really nice quiet day..
Hopefully the hens are on the nest and a couple three gobblers are out looking fur love..
Good luck to all out...

I've been chomping at the bit these past 3 days to get back out. I have no clue what's been going on around my woods but all the neighbors have been hitting it hard. Hopefully they saved me a bird! Lol!
