NE Starke county... Heard a distant gobble. Hearing a lot of yelps, was nervous amother hunter was close. But now hearing them in different areas, so must be birds on the move. Bait!

Great morning so far. I had 2 behind me in the woods strutting and goobling 25-30 yards. Just too much brush. There was a hen yelping and clucking in the field and they seemed to want to go to her but, they didn't like my strutter decoy. Hoping and waiting for them to circle atound

Dont worry Wes, when you think its a done deal, they screw you every time. Lol. If he is coming, go easy on calling and let him look for you.
Gobbling in 3 directions now. All distant but at least their around my area today.

Buddy is watching one on roost. He's about 300 yds from me. Gobbler hasn't been vocal. Hawk got him to fire off once. I hope he has friends because buddy doesn't miss often. Did hear hear 3 shots about a half mile away.

One gobbler maybe two sounded off a few times around 620. Maybe 400 yards away. Quite since then despite several crows making noise.

The fog had lifted and is now back with a vengeance.
I can see about 75 yards.
Crows around me are going nuts but no gobbles .

Heard at least 7 different birds gobbling. Very vocal hen flew down in decoys. Gobbler came out in the field but the wrong spot. He just strutted his way all the across the field and left. I’ve saw 5 different birds so far.

Glad I didnt listen to the weatherman. They are still saying big winds, and showing them on the hourly forecast. Yet, dead calm still. Beautiful morning!
