Pretty wild - I'd say no go for muzzleloading season! Yep, it doesn't load from the muzzle. Pretty complex mechanism for the time period. Wondering if it contributed significantly to the development of loaded cartridge cases?

Pretty wild - I'd say no go for muzzleloading season! Except for case length how about firearms season? That is some very precise machining on that loader! Handgun I might fire, rifle nope! Just a little flame leakage into the powder res and poof no eyebrows. The Ferguson is not legal either.

So, how did the powder get into the frizzen? It's a flintlock after all.

So, how did the powder get into the frizzen? It's a flintlock after all. At the start of the video you can see the bottom of the pan revolving. All those surfaces have to be able to move AND still seal the powder reserve. Not a gun I would want to fire.

One little leak and you'd have problems on your hands.
