Can't view it, I'm not on facebook and it requires you to log in. My question is what is the db of the bow with an arrow that is the recommended hunting weight?

Same here. Haven't made a final decision yet on my probable purchase, still leaning towards the vector rdx w/o crank, but considering other options among US-made.
May give up and join Facebook someday, but for now will stay in the resistance camp. Any link to the product that doesn't require joining would be appreciated.

This is on PhotoBucket so I'm not sure how long it will stay up/.\\ Not sure I agree with this advertisement. I have a Ravin cross bow that is 6 in wide. Shoots 390fps (top line ravin shoots 410 +) comes with built in crank. Has free floating arrow (No drag on rail for arrow) Is super light. Handles like a rifle. And I love it. If interested search ravin crossbows on you tube. Some vedios from rain explaining all the "good stuff" I forgot . Oh ya comes with a custom scope designed spicifacly for the bow that once sighted in has dots out to 100 yds (easiest scope sight in I have ever dune) This is cocked. I also like the fact the arrows run parallel to the stock. Not crossways. Pm me your phone no if you want to talk to me about it. Onebentarrow

Floating arrow is suposto stop all string ware from friction agents rail. Stated will shoot 3 in groups at 100 yds when sighted in. I have not shot that far yet but was shooting 2 in at 50 off hand. Crank cooking system cocks exactly the same every time so no worry about hitting out side of group because of miss string alinement when cocking. As I stated befor. I do not think you will be sorry if you go this wrought. I have recommended this bow to others. Ravin is also working on a custom lighted knock for the arrows. The knocks on a Ravin clip on the string like a bow knock and won't fall off.

Woody, the post above that begins "His key doubled...." and has my name as the poster was NOT typed or posted by me. No idea how that happened.
I was typing a response about the same time, but was not finished or anywhere near hitting the submit button, and we had a power outage.
Thanks for posting the further info on the Stealth NXT. I'm really not so much into speed, and always favored heavy arrows and bows that were more shootable than the latest fireballs from the factory. But I do like to see the latest and hottest available, just to see the engineering changes.
Even the 330 fps vortec rdx would be running almost 100 fps faster than my current bow at my 53# draw weight.
That extreme cold snap put some extra impetus on me to make the switch. Bulky sleeves and cold fingers sure take some of the fun out of the late bow season. Had me thinking of a blind with a sleeping bag around me like a heater body suit, and a thermos of hot soup next to my chair, instead of my comfy seat on my climber!
I have wondered about your experience with the RDX Horton. Are you still shooting both it and the original style? I've been intrigued by the rdx type since the first one I saw, but haven't talked with anyone yet who has experience both types to hear about pros and cons in actual use. It looks like it's the wave of the future, but are there some surprises on the downside I may not have seen? Possibly some loss of accuracy shooting offhand when compared to the more front-heavy earlier models?

Possibly some loss of accuracy shooting offhand when compared to the more front-heavy earlier models? Hmm..dunno about the hiccup.. I have a TenPoint Stealth SS and a Horton Storm RDX. Since I got the Storm the Stealth has been relegated to back up bow. I never needed a back up so it is gathering dust. The Stealth is a bull pup design and is pretty well balanced...but not nearly as good as the Storm. RDX is the way to go for off hand shooting for sure. Speed is 350 for the Stealth and 370 for the Storm. The Vortec is the Storm's little brother and very good choice in an entry RDX bow. Please do go with the AcuDraw crank. The Dedd Sled does cut the draw in half but that can still be trying. That pulling adds up quickly when target shooting/practicing. I went to the AcuDraw a few years back and am glad I did.

People get all worked up about a few feet per second more speed out of a bow or crossbow, but they all are still quite slow. Heck a one cock Daisy Red Ryder BB gun shoots at 350 FPS and we've all shot one of those and can see how slow it is and the arch of the BB. Any of the modern bows or crossbows will kill effectively if the arrow is well placed, a couple FPS more isn't a big deal.

How about 440 FPS? www.tenpointcrossbows.com/shop/nitro-x-crossbow-package/
