I’ve tried hear and tongue and didn’t like either but I don’t really like any organ meat from other animals either so it’s probably nothing against deer

I believe that I've mentioned this before- Folks out east like to pickle deer hearts. I never did try it, and do not have a recipe, but it was a very common practice.

I started pickling fish this year and was pleased with the results. May have to try pickling deer heart as I have a couple in the freezer. I usually slice the heart and pan sear or cube, bread, and deep fry.

Wanda,(wife), just finished the liver pate'. Best ever. Brandy, shallots, onion, garlic, whipping cream, nutmeg, coriander, cloves, cracked pepper and cinnamon. Recipes available for a small fee. LOL!

LOL! How much wine you have to drink befor you eat that liver stuff? Lol I think liver looks so good fresh. So good sliced and smells soooooo gooood frying with onions. It just taste soooo badddd!!! I have tried and it is the ONLY thing I refuse to eat altho I wish I could. It kills me to leave a 3 lb hunk of eattable meat in the field for the critters. Can not Handel any kind of liver or any thing made with it.
