I would love to go and I don't mind driving if it means I'll get some field time with the pros.

I know Rabbit season is little over a month away . So when do you want to plan this hunt ? I might have a problem with a Saturday hunt this year because we are minus 4 employees and the supervisors were told not to give out vacation days . Sundays would be a better day for me . If it had to be on a Saturday, I wouldn't make it out there around noonish .

I'm guessing ya all wanna get your deer out of the way first. I'll be 100% free any day after about mid December.

To everyone that wants to do this hunt , for me Sunday will be the only day that I can do a hunt . My job is denying ALL vacation days until next year , We are 5 employees short on my shift and two , it takes me about 4 hours to get there and I don't punch out until 7:30 AM Saturday morning.

A Sunday would be great, had a great time out at Wilbur Wright last time. Happy to drive down your way this year! I spent an entire day walking Wilbur Wright last year by myself and with no dogs. I didn't see any rabbits which makes sense to me now, but there was fresh snow so I did see a ton of tracks and heaps of pellets everywhere. I kept hoping that I'd get lucky and spook a dumb one or catch somebody napping but they were on high alert that day I guess. I was spoiled hunting rabbits as a kid. We just laid down prone on our back porch with 22's and picked them off as they raided our vegetable patch. I never had occasion to learn any other techniques. Except for snare setting but that's not what we're talking about here. December is fine with me. I'd love to go back to Wilbur Wright with some pros and their dogs and redeem myself.

That spot that I told you about, back in the swampy areas, are the only place I got rabbits up. I hunted quite a bit of the main property and not so much as a bark. Used to do real good out there but it's not worth a darn anymore.

There were a ton of rabbits back there but they were all smarter than me. There was tracks and pellets everywhere but I didn't have a dog and it was too cold, snowy, and wet to go prone and play rodent sniper. I'd bet that if we went back this year with some dogs we'd do well.

It was over my head and didnt look like they had cut any strips from what I saw. Might be better served going elsewhere this year..
