Looking to buy a new pair of upland boots. Suggestions? Insulated v. Uninsulated? If I did insulated, wouldnt do more than 400g for sure. Although I know that a pair of 200 dollar boots would be nice, I am a college kid still, unfortunately. So, economical suggestions would be appreciated. Heck, if anyone is selling some lightly used ones, shoot me a message! Happy hunting!

It would be my suggestion that you think about what you intended to do with them,if doing a lot of upland hunting where you do a lot of walking I would go with uninsulated boots. If your going to be doing a lot of sitting such as deer hunting or waterfowl field hunting then by all means go insulated. Which ever you choose make sure you get waterproof boots.

I go uninsulated and just wear warm socks if I need them. Usually if I'm sitting and hunting I have to change my socks when I get in to position or my toes get cold from sweating.

11, but I did pick up a pair of Cabela's Full Draw boots, 1/2 off, for $65 yesterday. Originally had my eye on a pair of Irish Setter 9" Wingshooter, but figured I could use the 100 in savings on a night's stay in Michigan grouse country this fall

I have recently become a huge fan of Keen hiking boots. They are very comfortable. I plan on hunting in them this fall.
