Here is the link to the upcoming NRC meeting on July 18. It shows the location, time, and agenda items. www.in.gov/nrc/2354.htm

While I understand the confusion if I'm reading this poorly written document correctly they are discussing ending a document about the hunts not the actual hunts

I've asked the DNR for a clarification..
Sounds like a wording clean up though...

Why are they ending the free youth hunting days? May be they discovered kids who grow up learning about the real world make better hunters and citizens than ones who are taught to expect exemptions, gimmes, and pandering.

From the DNR...
Hi Woody,
We still will have the free hunting days. We are not required to get approval from the NRC for the free hunting days in state law, only the free fishing days. We just get approval from Director Clark for the free hunting days each year.
We did the free hunting days policy only to appease law enforcement at the time, but it is not needed. We will list the free hunting days in the new hunting guide and in news releases, as usual.
Have a great 4th.

I was worried they were ending but now they don't need approval from the NRC and nothing will really change. Jack
