I'm taking lots of water and ice today. The wind will help keep me cool. I think I can finish the rest today if I just be the tortoise. I would keep coaching myself ...be the tortoise ...be the tortoise.

Six or 7 rows without stopping, but after those, it was down for rest after each pass.

All that matters is that you accomplished your goal and I'm happy for you doing so.

Clover cut today. It was tall and thick. Clover must retain a lot of moisture. It hasn't rained in a while, but this stuff was clumping up like wet grass; it shut down my mower once.

Still waiting on a dry spell to get corn and beans in the ground. From last Thursday night to Sunday evening we had close to 6" of rain. Glad I didn't plant anything last week or it would of been washed away. Feel bad for local farmers as I doubt many will plant much if any corn now and go with soybeans.

My brother-in-law got corn is and is okay. He's waiting to dry to put the beans. My food plot is happy happy happy ...for now. For the farmers, I'm afraid the rains will shut off once they get them in. It happened a few years ago.

I was just getting ready to start, then we got 2.5" or rain last Thursday thru Sunday, and calling for more almost every day this week. Not a big deal with soybeans. You can get a decent crop planting as late as mid June.

I'm planting in Switzerland county tomorrow and have the Soil Conservation office no till planter reserved. Sunflower, corn, and forage beans. Rain on Thursday will help germinate the seed. Planting about 4 acres total. Any updates on the drill? How much horse power to pull it? Buddy has land on Markland Pike and just bought 40 hp tractor. We need 1-2 acres of deer food plots.

Can't do much with all the rain so bushhogged couple of my imperial Whitetail clover plots. Walked through first one looking for fawns. NONE . Second plot found a little buck bedded right in middle. Tapped him on the head and off he stumbled into the wood edge. Came across 2 more mowing a hayfield edge. They were just a few days old and mommy stayed right there with them.

Spread fertilizer and tilled Thursday, then planted 6 acres of beans Friday. Got back to trail mowing and bush hogging over the weekend. Nice little rain last evening will help the beans, but could use a bit more.

We received .8 inches of rain in Switzerland County which made my beans, corn, and sunflowers pop up nicely. My food plots are looking good. 3 acres of forage soybeans, 1 acre of corn and 1 acre of sunflowers

New food plot area. My son moved his boat and sold his dirt bike. Now a few more toys. I'm planting turnips, radishes, and peas. Red are deer paths, pink will be a new path this week, blue is my new wall and deer fence. Over 220 ft long and 7 plus ft high. The Woods on left is around 50 acres. My three acre hunting honey hole.
