I don't use them , What man wants soft Women hands , just saying , I might as well as to stay in the house and wash dishes . If I had to wash dishes I would wear gloves just so my hands don't get soft .

After breaking tools and concrete and stuff I decided I need gloves to protect objects from myself this has never been about protecting myself but the equipment I am using. I bet duff wears gloves when he does the dishes

Well, to turn this back to a real answer, I wear a number of gloves.
1) Rubber almost to the elbow gloves when handling chemicals to fill sprayers. 2) Leather insulated gloves when it's durn cold out and I'm cutting/splitting/stacking wood. 3) Rubber faced, cloth backed Atlas Gloves for splitting/stacking wood when it's not too cold out 4) Leather work gloves for cutting when it's not too cold out (below 20°F) 5) Nitrile gloves for mechanic work. 6) For the rest of the work I do my skin is my glove.

My daughter text me the other day to thank me for sending her to college with a pair of leather gloves with wool lining. The year old fowl she is working with trying to arena train decided to bolt and drug the lead rope out of her hands. The leather is a bit burnt, but no injuries to girl or beast.

Honestly hate wearing gloves however if firing up chainsaw or hauling brush and such I'm all about thin leather gloves. Haven't really found a better option for being pliable but yet will fight off most thorns and brambles.

What kind of a fowl was she training? An Ostrich? ?

I like using mechanix gloves, however I'm slowly being turned to Meta-Miner gloves. Use them quite often while I'm working on the house or outside in the yard.
