I picked up around 40 Christmas Trees from the local Lowes this morning to use for cover in my pond. Now if it will get cold enough so there is enough ice to walk on the pond this winter, I can get the 2" pipe set in the pond bottom. Tie nylon rope to the base of the trees, loop the other end over the pipe. The trees will sink on their own, and I'll keep adding to the pile every year. I'll need to stand on top of an 8' step ladder to get the pipe pounded in the pond bottom.

I just go around town and the recycling dump for Christmas trees. Usually find several for the ponds for cover.

Keep thinking fishing over but yet I still keep nailing them. Fish fry tomorrow. Fishing in shorts and wind breaker. This is crazy.
