My wicked ridge invader kills deer pretty good for less than 1/3 of the price of this new xbow. In fact the bolt went all the way through the deer and far enough in the ground I couldn't find it.

I just saw the Ravins in the new Bass Pro catalog. As cool as they may seem, I just can't see spending that much. However, I don't care on bit how much someone else spends on one.
I went to BPS in search of a new crossbow about four years ago. I had a used Ten Point that was heavy and loud. I sold it on Craigslist (for more that I paid for it) and had some other discretionary cash. I literally had enough cash in my pocket to buy any crossbow in the store. I shot several Excalibur, Ten Point, Hoyt, etc. Nothing interested me until I saw a Parker Thunderhawk sitting on the table in the range. I shot it twice and told the kid waiting on me to get one rigged up. I added string stops and a retractable rope pull and was on my way minus $700. I asked the kid why he didn't suggest the Parker to begin with. His response was that he thought I wanted one of the "fancy" ones.
I've shot at four deer with it. Three dropped immediately and the other went about 100 yards directly downhill and was dead before I could stumble to her. None of them asked what kind of cams, draw or fps were behind their demise. I'm not going to lie...my Parker is literally point and shoot.

I held one. Well made bow bu heavy and awkward. I did not like it.
Very narrow design and the limbs just looked too stressed at the angle they set at.
Sticking with the Excalibur at 1/3 of the cost....

Dicks Sporting Goods has them on Cyber Monday sale for 25% off.......
Compared to my Barnett Revolution (to me) it felt a little bit lighter and a whole lot smaller/narrower!!
