Just seen this thread. I sure do know about the cyber scouters and will never post pictures that give away location. In this case all I have is a picture of six dead geese, nothing exciting. Plus I'm just too lazy to upload to Photobucket.

Did they land right next to the flock of cows? No but there was a flock of seagulls I just knew that was the next line before I even read it.

Well...I'm sure glad I didn't crow too much!!! Since about mid last week the birds have just seemed to disappear from the west side of West Lafayette There had been literally thousands of birds using what we call the "bog" area which I would usually be salivating over when I would be going on shift at Wally in the afternoons however by Friday of last week there were hardly any birds there and the local subdivision pond that ALWAYS keeps birds around has also been pretty much empty!! I would actually have some time this weekend to hit them again but right now don't have any idea where they are around here. The most birds I've seen since last Friday was 5 on Sunday while I was cleaning gutters on my polebarn that were flying over my woods.... I've even checked quite a bit of the flooded Wabash river bottoms between me and town but still nothing. Has this warmer weather got them moving back north??

There should be plenty water choices.

They just maybe moving the wrong way already. I have seen ducks out when we don't see any for a couple more months. One thing that puzzles me is the resident geese are not flying around like they always do. They just don't seem to be around. They normally fly over, high, or go around us and land at Willow lake campground. About 50 geese usually do this daily but nothing has been going in there. Most geese we have been seeing are coming from the south heading towards the lake. They are easy to get them to turn to take a look or land.
