Cincinnati is the same. We have coyotes, breeding population bears (east and west side) and now breeding mountain lions (cougar) on the west-side all confirmed by the Ohio Fish and Game. There has also been a good number of cougar sighting on the east-side. Bear sighting don't make the news much anymore. Only time when it gets close the city limits. I see more in my neighborhood than I do out in Switzerland county. The older deer are like the coyotes and they only come out until 10pm to about 4-5 am and then out sometime around 8:30 - 11am on school days. They don't come out on Saturdays and Sundays. I don't know how they tell one day verses another, but my trail camera confirms it. I know per my hunting experience that the background noise is different on weekdays verses weekend days. It might be as simple as the noise levels.

I do not believe so, at least my 2 pennies. The 2 guys I have currently working on my house remodel/addition go every morning before they work on my house and evening after. And I believe they average 1 to 2 a day. However I'm not really sure what the population density of song dogs are, I just know these 2 guys really hit them hard every chance they get.
