This is so cool! Has this bear made any local news yet? I have not seen anything about it other than on this site.

Last news I've heard of a black bear was up north and I believe they killed it. It was coming down from Michigan into indiana. Last couple animal news reports wound up with... being shot...
Harambee gone, but not forgotten!

How exactly did it get inside the fence? Come in the front entrance? Did they let it in? I know there are holes in the fence from hunting there, but not bear size holes.

A few years ago we had one in our neighborhood (westside of Cincy (Green Township))for a week and then move west to the Miami WhiteWater Forest. Never heard what happened to that bear. Eastside of Cincy has an established population. Not much news anymore. The bears are moving in from the east and the south. issuu.com/cincinnati/docs/western-hills-press-102710Now I'm waiting for the Elk!

LOL... That stand was doing some serous shaking wasn't it. He wont soon forget that morning.
I wonder if the hunter had some kind of scent on ..like greasy spoon breakfast scent.
BTW - That was a pretty nice bear.

Did you notice the bear was sniffing a lot of trees. Maybe the hunter had some food (goodies) on him. Great video.

I think the pee hitting him in the face scared him off. I would have had to change my clothes.

The bear was in the area of Holton , which borders the Jefferson Proving ground for several miles. The bear has been inside the Proving ground since early August I think from what has been reported. I don't think it had any problem getting into the area as there are numerous gaps, holes all over the place esp. long waterways The bear Came from Kentucky and has been seen in Jefferson, Jennings and Ripley counties, but has seemed to taken up the Jefferson Proving Grounds/Big Oaks as a resident for several months. It is expected that he will return to Kentucky at some point.

Is this confirmed, truly did occur in Big Oaks? That would be a big and wild enough property to hold a few bear. Just like the stories about mountain lions in Indiana, I always suspect a little B.S.

Big Oaks posted it themselves on their Facebook page. Everyone knew back in late summer that the bear was circling Big Oak's fence, and it has been spotted inside the perimeter prior to this video.

Their have been bears around all of Cincinnati for a few years plus. Not much news anymore. No reason the bears from Ohio and Kentucky would not spread to South/Southeast Indiana. Plus you have the Chicago Bears from the North. LOL 2016 now Clermont, Hamilton, and now Butler have black bears.
