Do you wear a facemask when bowhunting?

I put one on if I'm bowhunting from the ground, but not in the stand.

I haven't, but I'm going to buy one for this year. I was moose hunting the other day, and one of our guys in camp walked right past me, maybe 20 feet beside me, and I had to go BRIAN! and he was like holy moly! He never even saw me.

I wear a mesh headcover. Used to wear a beard for camo purposes but now it looks like a white tail going away :'(so have to hide that.

Yes , with a face as pallid as mine you have to cover up . I also wear a headcover . I dislike face paints , uncomfortable to me .

I used to wear face paint, but it would always bother my contact lenses. Now I’ll wear a face mask, although my anchor point is the corner of my mouth so I have to pull the mask down prior to shooting.

i use a neck gaiter most of the time and a mesh head net sometimes. I've seen hunters from quite a distance because they turn their head and the sun lit up their face. i thought if i can see them so can a deer. shortly after that i started using one. h.h.

I always do during archery season. I found some Wally World sold a couple of years ago that fits tight. I don't like the mesh loose ones as I've drawn my bow and they are in the way of seeing thru my peep sight.

I wear a mesh face mask every hunt. Even when it is really cold out. I can't stand those heavy masks for cold weather.
I tried shooting my bow with one of those heavy fleece masks and it didn't feel comfortable.

Tried face paint but made my skin crawl. Having duck hunted for many years wearing a face mask is second nature. In Ontario where I hunt most shots for archery or shotgun are inside 40 yards and even with blaze orange on I wear a mask. Gives me more confidence.

I used to wear face paint but it can be a real bear to remove. Now I go bare-faced (except for the beard).

until this year i had.
went from shooting instinctively to using sights...........
face mask interefered with my anchor............so away with that.
my findings are that the deer havent been too concerned about my apparel change either.

I usually wear a face mask when the tempature gets below 20 degrees F, and always a mesh mask when hunting turkeys.
