Double Humbled at a Great Dove Event

Deer creek hosted a family unit dove hunt (previously called a youth hunt). The dove field shape and condition were the best I have hunted in, although doves numbers seem down. Not only was I humbled by the doves but also by my 14 year old nephew who, without any help from me, outshot me 11 to 9 . Last year I helped him and gave him the first shot. Last year (his first dove hunt) and this year he shot the most doves.
Thanks to Sarah at Deer Creek and the DNR for the event! I think they are achieving their goal of creating lifetime sports people by their efforts. I know they have created one outdoor monster!
