My Savage .17 HMR. Occasionally I will pull out the H&R Topper .410, but the HMR has been the first and almost exclusive choice since I bought it about 10 years ago.
Leaves don't much bother me. I'm a big guy and appreciate the cover. ;-)

Gonna try my Marlin 17 for the first time out. See how I like it. If it does to much damage I'll switch to my trusty Marlin model 60.

Head shots only on squirrels? That's a given regardless what you are shooting them with. This is my favorite. Mossberg B-46-B, 22S-L-LR. Took this pic before I put a big Barska Scope on it. With the shorts it's quiet as any air gun and most suppressed guns. With the LR option and may be Stingers you can make good use of a quality scope. This IS with out doubt the most accurate 22 I own. Second choice would be my Marlin 17HMR. It's just louder, more accurate, reaches further. I've got the same Barska scope on it as the Mossberg. This isn't something you really use much to shoot Chips off the bottom porch step though.

It depends on if the Mrs wants to use the rifle or shotgun,so either the Marlin Model 25N .22lr or the T/C G2 Contender .22lr pistol which I haven't used in years, might be nice to take it out again.

I still use the Mossberg .410 shotgun the my dad & I bought back when I first started hunting. I say my dad & I because he told me if I want that gun, I had to pay half out of my grass mowing money. I can't remember how much the total cost was but dad told me he got a good deal because he knew the gun shop owner. I own better guns & more accurate guns but no guns that bring back the memories that this one does.
