getting a late start to prepping for the food plots due to work and our trip to Alaska. Dad lost his bees so I'm going to use a weed killer to help knock out what's currently in the plots. Is the typical round up good enough or is there something a little more potent?

Glypohosate is pretty deadly on any kind of grass however I have a tendency to mix in 2,4-D with the glyphosate just to help take care of the broadleaf weeds that sometimes seem to be a little hesitant to give it up to the glyphosate. Just follow label directions as always!

Just follow label directions as always! You can plant back after spraying glyphosate. You will need to wait a week or two between spraying and planting if you use 2,4-d as it will impact the germination of the seed if you plan to spray and plant.

2/4D is a post emergence herbicide You can plant after with no wait Per label What I've noticed You can see the results sooner with 2/4D but not any deader than Glyphosate the heat will effect results use a MBO to hold it on longer for better results

Most know it as MSO or methylated seed oil. There are three types of oil in order of heating up a herbicide. NIS Or non-ionic, COC or crop oil concentrate, then MSO.
