Has anyone been out to Kankakee fwa recently? I've never been there but am considering doing doves there this year . Kingsbury fwa did not plant sunflowers in all of the dove hunting fields again this year. Last year they did the same thing and when my buddy and I inquired as to why they said "I don't know " . So I'm wondering if anyone can give me the heads up on how it's looking at Kankakee, and which locations have been good for doves recently?

I've never shot a dove. I think I signed up for a dove hunt, but I've never been drawn for any kind of bird hunt.
I did hear them at my plot Saturday, and with my sunflowers, I might just get a few this year. I sure would like it.

I don't know anything about it. I get nose bleeds when I go north of 70. |

Well I'm all the way up on lake Michigan so you would probably bleed out if you came this far north lol

One year, I was hunting in my bottom land in a blind when a flock of them came in to bathe in the creek. They were everywhere, even standing in my window opening. I have a tough time recognizing types of bird when they're in the flight, but the doves fly kind of crazy, not in a pattern. Sure, I know a duck from a goose, but what kind of duck, no. |

They are an absolute blast to hunt and are one of the tastiest things I've ever put in my mouth.

Jon . I love eating Doves and Pigeons, I grill them both the same way , breast them then put a half of a jalapeño pepper then wrap it in some bacon.

If you had Dove you had Pigeon , Pigeons where I hunt for them eat feed corn , dark meat just like a Dove
