I HOPE EVERYONE FEELS THAT TAKING DOES IS A NECESSARY FUNCTION OF MANAGING OUR RESOURCE.I HAVE HUNTED IN OTHER STATES THAT DID NOT PRACTICE SOUND GAME MANAGEMENT AND THE DIFFERENCE IS ASTOUNDING.IF GAME AND FISH SEES IT NECESSARY LETS SUPPORT THEM AND FILL THE TAGS.FARMERS AND HUNTERS FEEDING THE HUNGRY IS A GREAT TOOL IF YOUR FREEZER IS FULL.

Nice Doe. Harvesting does is part of management.

I like to get a nice buck, but I am a freezer-filler at heart... Does are in deep trouble if I am in the woods... Rock on... Keep the faith...

I once had someone say to me it's just as hard to fool and old doe as it is a mature buck. I have taken way more does than bucks.

It has been my experience that I get busted by does more often than bucks.... They seem to be the ones that actually take the time to look in trees and notice any movement that is not normal.

Two of these were donated to a food bank, one went in my freezer with my buck. All were taken at the same time, 1 with handgun, 2 with muzzle loader. Missed number 4 and ran out of speed loaders, she just stood and looked back, alittle to far for my .357 Blackhawk.

When bow season opens each year, the first thing on my mind is fresh meat for the freezer. I like to try and take out a doe by the end of October. If the opportunities were there, I would take 2 or 3 a year.
