This was the first week of muzzleloader season in Dec. We went hunting that evening on a ridge overlooking a CRP field. Around 30 min. before dark there he was at about 85 yards. He took the shot and the buck went about 40 yards before going down. I don't know who was more excited him or me.
I do know one thing. . . . he lets me know who has the biggest buck on the wall every chance he gets. = - )
The buck field dressed at 196 lbs.
It green scored at 169 3/8.
