greetings I have bit the bullet and bought a yukon photon 6.5x50 night vision scope with a 900yard illuminator. well, they are on back order and i have paid the deposit they asked for to have my name on one of them. Going to give it a go for those lamp shy foxes. Means finding or getting someone to make a picatinny rail for my old brno hornet i know the rails are some long forgotten size but i will think of something. Initially it will go on the cz 452 22rf then if a success i will try to get it onto the hornet. That is plan A plan B, sell it on. lol All good fun trying new ideas. regards Billy. Sounds like a good plan Billy. Have fun with the night vision scope. I wish they were not so expensive as I too would like to have one of those. I enjoy going out and night and hunting.

Absolutely would love to have one, however finances are the boss here not my need for more toys. Best of luck to you.

Greetings Now the 2016 buck cull is complete the 22 hornet is back in action instead of the 308. Went outlast night, seen two foxes but neither gave a safe shot so they are still there for another night.
The night sight is a great device and i have been using it on the rimfire for rabbits in the summer months there has been enough ambient light so as i have never had to use infra red with it. The hornet also now has a picatinny rail so i will get it set up on there as well. It has been no bother on the rimfire i have swapped from day scope to night scope numerous times and it is hitting rabbits a hundred yards away so zero seems to stop near enough.
I also have a lot of hares in the forest this year it looks like they have had three lots of leverats. They are as bad as deer on young trees so any that are near a new restock i cull out,so that is a job to do before the does season starts in November. regards Billy
