None of the signs I have are purple in color either. If it becomes law, I would double post - signs and purple paint. As it is now, I have to replace a lot of signs. They were placed at 50 yd intervals around a clients place, and a LOT are down now. All of my signs are white & BRIGHT RED. What's with them becoming Purple thing about anyway??

The way I read it, the signs wouldn't have to be used, purple paint could be used on the tree trunks on the perimeter of the property.

Sounds DUMB!! But if that's going to be the law, wouldn't "Hunter Orange" be more visible, rather than Purple??

Orange and other colors are used frequently in the logging industry and purple doesn't fade out or lose color like some others is what I read

Must not be too "dumb" because Indiana would now just be following the suit of multiple other states.

I should be allowed to hunt anywhere I want... No matter what color you paint your trees it should all be public, you never own your property anyway

Must not be too "dumb" because Indiana would now just be following the suit of multiple other states. I'd think two large red/orange round reflectors would work better. Paint, regardless of color, will wear-off.

Dont think property has to be posted in any way now ......
I also dont think you can ding a person without first being given a warning. If you immediately leave upon being asked I do not think you can be charged with trespass.
Hunting is different ....

Sounds DUMB!! But if that's going to be the law, wouldn't "Hunter Orange" be more visible, rather than Purple?? In my experience, fluro Orange paint fades to a light color within 6 months, and it is even harder to see if you don't first paint a white base coat. A client has 2" drill stem (pipe) in the ground every 100 yds for property markers and it has to be repainted every 6 months if "hunter orange" paint is used. He/we use around 12 cans a year just painting the pipes. Once the pipes are painted white, then only orange has to be used.

Only if you don't use FMJ bullets. Neat, you could shoot, dress and make hamburger at the same time. Now if it would only package it in 1 pound packages too! Don't try it with a .22lr. Not only does it not meet the legal requirements in the deer hunting regs., I've never been able to get the slide fire to reliably work on an AR style .22lr rifle. Personally, I don't use that much burger, so I would probably use a .243 or my 7mm, both bolt guns.

Making it illegal would be a solution in search of a problem ..... I doubt there will be anyone using one. That said ... like always I am a leave it alone kind of guy.
