The fact that these places exist is not arguable. The fact that they need regulated is also certain. The only questions left is who should be regulating them and by what standards. Like the wildlife we all enjoy or the farm animals raised all over the state, do we actually want legislators in charge of things? Agreed. I think that there needs to be more control/testing/tracking over the animals since there possibility of cross contamination of wild stock. Just like me bringing fish into the state from another state for stocking into private ponds, they have to have a health cert within the past 12 months. As for the trophy aspect, I think that it's up to each person to make their own decisions on what they consider to be a trophy, BUT that pen raised bucks should have their horns marked or identified every year somehow/someway to show that they were in a high fenced operation and that would prevent them from ever being entered into a record book/organization where they compete with wild, free range trophies. It has to be something permanent, because how would a person who came across a rack in a garage 30 years from now at a garage sale know it was pen raised or wild?
