Nice Pics, looks like a good year. Man that is a big Yote and looks well fed. Hate to run into him out in the woods without my gun.

I've actually never trapped but when my grandpa passed away my dad and I got the old traps. we said we were going to trap but never got a chance. But it still intrest me and I have the traps... That one mink in huge! Looks like you got the son, dad and gramps on that one. Cut that family tree down....lol...

Here's a link where we were having a decent fur price discussion ... lonnielphillips.proboards22.com/index.cgi?board=information&action=display&thread=1135733045 I ain't doing this for the money , I trap areas I waterfowl hunt ..places with good nesting habitat to reduce the nest predators and hopfully increase nesting success in the spring ... Not to mention it's fun trying to outwit critters .... it took me 12 trapping seasons now to finally get my 1st Mink ..... so far I've gotten five ....

Thanks Dmduck!!
I don't hunt waterfowl but I do know about a lot of places that have mink and beaver and muskrats. Also have a good place to hunt fox and coyotes. I love to be in a woods and hunt and thought maybe if the prices have went up some I might try my luck. You wouldn't know any place in Sullivan county or in the area that buy's them do you?
Thanks again.

dmduck, thanks again for the pictures. I set a coyote line today and am anxious to check them. My buddy has been doing well on beaver this year. I like trapping coyote the most though. Have caught a few coon the past couple of days too (none as big as your whopper though). Continued good luck.....Hoosier.

dmduck, you cant wear me out with your trapping photos. Isnt it depressing what fur is bringing these days? Like coon hunting, you had really better like the sport to make it worthwhile. Sometimes I wish I were born before the real fur boons. Keep us updated.

I can remember bringing triple that back in the eighties ... sometimes more than triple those prices ... Good thing I don't do it for the money anymore ..... my payout will come with a better nest success this spring for good hunting next fall.... Sure won't make you rich ....but it is satisfying knowing you can still outsmart the critters on their on home truff....

Man, I miss trapping! I do see fur prices are lousy now. I remember getting up to $8.50 for a rat and $35 for a big coon Damn Antis!
