Regretfully, I must inform that the bird hunt at Royal Flush will not work for Jan 16th. My deepest apologies. Basically this has been a scheduling issue coupled with a communication problem that I will own. Please don't put any of this on Shawn or Royal Flush! Here's the main problem. I was really excited at the prospect of organizing this hunt for everyone involved. But, I've never run a group this large. I now realize that it is almost impossible to schedule a group like this...pretty much a nightmare in the past few weeks. This is similar to booking a corporat hunt. That reality means someone post up a couple grand which is big bucks because you basically would have the run of the place for the day. There's just no way for that to work. The biggest besides posting up the money, it is common for a group of 20-30 hunters to go down to maybe half that on the day of the hunt. Unrealistic and costly. So, I'm working on other options and looking for legitimate suggestions. I'm quite disappointed and really sorry that I can't make this work. It truly has become a mind consuming nightmare and I can't find a viable solution yet. I guess I just had some unreal expectations that I could make this work out. We might still be able to do something at a later date or possibly another location. It just won't work for Royal Flush on January 16th. Once again I greatly apologize and am still trying to find a way to work out a hunt and will keep y'all posted.

Please do not be too hard on yourself, you were simply trying to fulfill the wishes of many here. I am glad that you have realized that it would have been a problem before it became a problem, I have no clue about it myself. I will sit it out if it means that another person who has never had the chance to enjoy good dogs working the birds and the camaraderie that comes along with these hunts would get the opportunity to experience it once.

Why couldn't 8,10,12 guys just call a place and pay for the birds that way. Wouldn't it be the same as the same amount of guys calling ABC bird farm and booking with them? Just say you want to use your own dogs. I know there is a place in Marion area that has a separate field that you can take your own dogs out and hunt the birds. I don't have a dog in this fight as I want going, just trying to help.

Greetings I am not sure how you guys bird hunt, but I am just back from a weekend in the Midlands shooting with friends. This is how we do it . One man does the organising. We go to the keeper and simply ask how much for a hundred bird day in this case it was three thousand pounds. There are ten of us that shoot so that is three hundred pounds each plus ten pound each for shoot lunch afterwards. The keeper is paid at the end of the day. A deposit from every gun wanting to shoot is taken up front that sort of stops guns backing out. That is how we do it highcottonguide. Had a fantastic weekend as usual. Regards Billy.

Point well taken Billy! That's pretty similar to how it would have to work here too! I'm gathering some more info on how we could make this happen.

I appreciate the effort Larry.
I'm thinking that I'm going somewhere in January. I'll figure something out.

Not this year , But if we came up with lets just say $3000.00 cash up front for a corporate hunt . then how much more cash would a group need for the hunt ? for instance for a $3000 deposit for 15 hunters would be $200 per person .

And lets say by Aug or Sept RF has a deposit from our group for such a hunt . But have the hunt on a certain date .
