I am by no means stating that anyone here needs to or should. But if someone is a member of their forum and could copy/screenshot my explanation/answer to a question above which outlines purpose of the survey to the thread I started there I'd appreciate it.
This survey for whatever reason was found "ban worthy" by their staff and I cannot even see the post any longer or the forum (just a white screen with itty bitty print that I'm banned).

The survey they have going on can be done multi times and can be skewed....... Done seen it happen!!!! Of no concern to me Greg, if that is the case that is their business. I just know upfront what this one is entailing and I've openly explained it. There are parameters and things that are tagged on submission which allow an eyebrow to be "raised" one could argue should two or more submissions look suspicisious. However, in the future ones conducted by the new website those will require more length one must go to take part...essentially limiting the ability to be dishonest to a good degree. My point was there saying others(yours) survey maybe skewed when there's may also be.... Most all online surveys have a fudge factor with them!!

Yes.
And the IWDHM survey is exactly what they fear Ty's is....I was able to take theirs twice so whatever results they are able to get will not carry any weight.

Sorry, but here my input..
Online surveys are 100% meaningless to anyone other than the folks puting them on. The DNR and NRC will not even give them a second thought, if they even give them a first thought. The same with "petitions". They are ignored by the powers to be.

Yup...no conclusory statements should be derived from a survey of this nature. Short of mailing surveys to each hunter that had a license nothing is gonna change laws/regs.

Ty - as of this morning it looks like they have purged your comments from their page. The comment screenshot from above is gone as well as the one where you told them you had completed their survey. Banned. Comments deleted. Trouble maker ....

Honestly if making an independent survey of which they will probably love the results of threatens them that much it is pathetic. Never swore, never attacked anyone, never went against their Mission statement by repeatedly trying to simply cause problems as they stated may result in banning.
Childish, to simply do that absolutely no better way to put it. I even messaged them explaining exactly what the survey was and how it was implemented. Acknowledging it's short comings and everything. Next thing I know banned.
Oh and for what it is worth as of noon yesterday of the 149 responses over 70 percent were reporting seeing a decrease in herd size from the previous year. Shocked me a little but I know some folks aren't joking when they say EHD, pockets of improper harvesting and more is going on.

Ever want to see folks get exactly what they wish for so you could watch as they discover they arent as smart as they think they are and the world is much more complicated than they believe it to be?

Their last post of attempting to reach out is a lie in my case. I wrote them, they never responded.
"Continuelly disrupt the harmony" seems to be the reason....odd as I defended them in some posts, agree in others and really had stayed away from any full fledge disagreement posts other than letting them know professionalism needs to be in mind with every post.

If you are going to start/run a forum (on any subject), it has never made sense to do two things I see many do....
1. Require a person to sign up before they can view forum content. What's the point of that? If I can't see what the forum is about, why would I sign up?
2. Have such a thin skin that you can't deal with differing opinions.
Seems like a waste of time in either instance......
Funny thing is, I've seen people that run forums do the two things listed above and then spend time on other forums stirring the pot and expecting not to get called on it.

There is no magic pill. Most guy's can't grip the concept that WE HUNTER'S shoot the deer..... IDNR doesn't. You hear all sort of excuse's. Not seeing doe's quit shooting them. Neighbor's shooting to many then go talk to them and try to educate and work out an agreement. Just because a county has a certain bonus number or special antlerless season doesn't mean hunter's have to participate.

Ty how long do you plan to let the survey run before posting the results? Figured next Friday I'd gather as it sits and begin making result sheets/graphs and make it available for everyone. Right or wrong majority of hunters taking it have seen a decline in their localized herds....last I checked going around 73percent. Like I said no conclusory statements should be drawn from it but pretty solid percent feedback.

Honest question....if surveys don't mean anything to the DNR, why do they make me do the HIP program and send out surveys asking me about my waterfowl experience was, when I thought the seasons should be, would I hunt this species...etc?
I seem to recall filling out a survey 2yrs ago regarding setting new waterfowl season dates and lo and behold they changed them around to make everyone happy.
