I've got a couple so far this year. I really don't hunt for them, just shoot one if I see it. I also like to use my .50 ML with a roundball, mostly because of the 4x9 scope mounted on it. Might be overkill, but they ARE varmints, right?

Got one that built a den under my barn in the back. However he is in a dangerous area to do any shooting, as there is a home located not far where I see him.

Here you are Decatur, I shot this one this afternoon just for you. I was in a hurry, so I grabbed my .22 rimfire this time. CCI mini-mag hollowpoint just behind the eye did the trick. Believe it or not, as I was setting up to take this photo, a red fox appeared about 200 yds. away, but alas, I wasn't fast enough with the camera.

My brother and I shot 2 last night that had been destroying his garden, 1 the size of a rabbit, and the other was about 14#. It was fun because my 4 year old nephew sat out there with us. He was so excited to see the groundhog and to help skin them.

I was hoping that i could get some help in finding some places to hunt some groundhogs. Just wondering if anyone knew of any landowners that wanted to get rid of a few of them.

Here is one that I shot. I got him at 200 yards with my .270. I thought there would be alot more devastation. I missed one this past week at the same distance. Guess I am gonna have to start trying to get closer.
