Don't have a hound at this time, but I'm a coon hunter. Looking for a dog for this season.

I used to hunt with my father when I was younger, but haven't been since fur prices went south and his last dog died.

Count me in the numbers ....trapping / dog running and calling coon .....
Calling I've found the last coupla years ...and I'd have to say is probably the most fun or at least comes a close second to hunting over a Good Walker !!!

I grew up coonhunting, that is what lead to my desire to trap as a young kid. I still coon hunt several days each year.
I think I have some real old pics around here somewhere.

here is a picture from the early 70's, it is when compition was high as well as prices. these were all killed with my grandfathers dogs. I'm the little one in the blue and my brother is in the red. Lonnie

Actually coonhunting is how i started out hunting going with a classmate who had blueticks and a neighbor who had mountain curs wish, the blueticks are gone now but i might go out with the neighbor with the curs sometime this year, it is exciting
