If anybody is interested in trapping a few problem skunks let me know. I have some boss skunks that would go P&Y and you are welcome to them. Some nights I have as many as seven in the backyard. I have two that are almost completly white. Sure would make some pretty cool hats if you are willing to skin and tan. You furnish the traps. Let me know.

When you see several of them together in your yard, run out of the house and scream really loud getting as close as possible. They'll leave. (As you can see I wouldn't be much help but it would make for a good story)

Problem is when I get off work the wife and kids are already in bed. Mama said I cant shoot no more shunks cause the smell drifts back into the house. They really dont spray cause their so use to getting handouts from the campground folks. Just thought someone would like a crack at making a nice hat or two out of them. They have been digging in the side yard tearing up the ground looking for grubs or something and now they have gotten in the crawl space and chewing through the tv wires. May have to use the 22, throw them in the road and tell mama they was just hit.

Stykbow .... sorry I missed your call ...it's probably easier to email me , I'm not around the house much this time of year . Anyone else trying to call might try the same thing , I'm out more than I am in with trapping/calling/waterfowling/scouting/working ...I'm usually home long enough to shower and gone again .....
Shoot me an email stykbow .... if need be I'll email you my cell number .

Man I have not seen a skunk since our campground started slowing down. Not one! Have seen a fox once and a monster owl a few weeks ago. But no skunks. I get with you when they come back. Im around the east side of the county. Ceraland Park.

Don't shoot 'em. I would make a bucket set with a 5 gallon bucket and a 220 Conibear body gripping trap and a small can of tuna fish or sardines. It's pretty risky to try to live trap them. One mistake and you'll be in the doghouse (if Ol' Yeller will let you in with him). I, for one don't want to mess with a live skunk that I have to try and release later.

Saw the first one of the year last night in the yard. I'll be up to my ears in them once the campground starts filling up.

hehehehehehe ....you maybe up to your ears in them before you know it ....all the rain we've had the last few days will most likely have them flooded out and moving , not to mention them females will be looking for high dry ground to be having them younguns soon .
