IF it doesn't pass....I want people to not complain...just like those of us that are personally opposed have been told to do. *For the record I'm not fighting it as I see it as futile.

I can say that I was on the "losing side" of the crossbow issue, but never complained when it didn't go in my favor.
If by some MIRACLE the rifle proposal fails, it'll just be reintroduced every tear until it does pass, just like the crossbows. You just have to keep plodding along.

I agree, it will keep being brought up until it passes, just like that time change thing.

I'm surprised that silencers for hunting slid right in there last year easier than this. LOL!

Agreed to both above....the sad thing is opinions are great and all depending if it coincides with the most boisterous. I'd rather it just be passed and dealt with or refined as we move forward (like limiting AR-Mags to like the 5 or 10 rounders and such). Again though, just pass it and move on.

Id say the decision was made to pass them 5 years ago .... and nothing that has happened in that time has changed the minds of those making the decisions.

Pass or no pass, it really won't affect my hunting very much at all. I'll most likely continue to use my Savage muzzleloader if it passes. The only time in the past 10 years that I've needed more than one shot is during the State Park hunts. But that doesn't mean that I'm in favor of them limiting the regulation to single shot weapons either.....
But, if it does pass, I have a couple of out of state friends that would come to Indiana to hunt. Right now they don't because they would have to either borrow my slug gun, or my 2nd Savage ML. If it passes, they could use what they use in Wisconsin for deer hunting.

...limiting AR-Mags to like the 5 or 10 rounders and such). I use 10-round mags in my AR while hunting, as I hate lugging around more ammo weight. I'd use 5-round PMAG's if they made them.

I'm not going to complain about any legal weapon any other hunter chooses to use. I never have. It has ZERO impact on my choices.

If it doesn't, I'll just trim a few more 35 Rem. cases.

Even though I voiced an affirmative as I see no reason not to allow them it would not bother me one way or another. Not a biggies for me,...

With what is already available to use it makes absolutely zero difference with the two exceptions of affordability and accessibility.
There is very little that will be ballistically superior to what we can already use .... considering just about anything you can dream up is already legal in a shorter barreled handgun version.
Whether or not that accessibility aspect will cause any issues will only play out in time.
Affordability is obviously a good thing.
Still against it ... just like I am against everything else.

If it doesn't pass I'll have to decide among several, if it passes I'll have to decide among several!

If this don't pass you won't see it the next year.... Just matter of time before it gets in the hands of the non hunting public and possibly the social media.... IMO Name one item that hasn't passed and then interduced the next year or untill it passed...... Refresh my memory!!

You asked for one, so I'll only name the most recent -- SILENCERS.
Failed 2012, reintroduced and passed 2013.

Even though I voiced an affirmative as I see no reason not to allow them it would not bother me one way or another. Not a biggies for me,... That's kinda the way I feel about it. We can already use pistols chambered for many of these same calibers and it would go along way towards ending the hodge-podge of firearms regs we have right now. Will I buy one? Probably not. My .44 mag works just fine for me.
