Thought I should give a "Heads-up" to those wanting to hunt Deer in Ky this season. There has been reports of Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease (EHD) in some Central Kentucky Counties, mostly Zone 1 & 2. One farm up in Nelson County (zone-2) one Farmer found 7 Deer that died from EHD, and there were some scattered about in other Central Counties as well that have been found victims of EHD. Not sure about the Western Counties, but I am certain there is a few over there. Remember, that EHD happens to some degree each year, but it is more likely when those area have a Hot Summer along with a Drought. So before you spend your hard earned money, on a Non-resident license & permit, I'd check out the area you were wanting to hunt.
