We went to check stands today (I know a little late!)Had a tall 6 pt. that would not leave us alone! we have 4 stands in that woods and he followed us around like a dog, stayed about 40 -50 yds. I don't think he is going to live long!!

I have a Basset that has never tracked unless to the food bowl. I think I'm gonna take her out.

Well, I got the new blind out this afternoon just behind the house in the food plot. Threw together some deer chili before I left at 4:30pm. Sounded good in this cooler weather we are having. Just got settled in blind and bro in law comes down to bushog back fields. Thought I may leave but decided to stick it out, chili not even ready yet. About 5 pm looked over here comes 2 turkeys. Well I forgot my range finder, so I let them come in to about 10 yrds and I let the crossbow loose on it. Took off flying couldn't see were it went. Searched and searched I thought I heard something in the creek fall earlier. After looking everywhere in fields, found the turkey floating in the creek. Of course in the deepest spot in the middle of it. Out I go to get my first bird with my crossbow and wet boots to go with it. Got it cut up, now relaxing eatin some chili waiting on the bengals game.

Congrats on the turkey I haven't seen anything all weekend. At least the wind is calm tonight I still have not seen a deer while hunting. However, looking out the window this morning standing in front yard were a buck and doe. Eating the crab apples off one of the trees. I am off for a couple weeks so I'm bound to run into one soon. Mama wants a couple of deer this year.

greetings Any dog that is still breathing will track fresh blood, even a poodle,so don't wait too long, its when there is no blood or next day, that's when a trained dog comes into its own. if you have never done it before the best advice i can give is trust the dog even if you think it is wrong trust it. And put it on a long rope unless its trained, or it may get on the trail and be in the next parish. good luck billy

Not from the stand but from the dining room. My wife sent me these pictures today while I was at work. I want to know how have they figured out my work schedule? ![](http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r55/clintanders/Snapbucket/87D9A2AA.jpg) ![](http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r55/clintanders/Snapbucket/325682AD.jpg)
